The acient and renowned "Ricemill Ferron" near Verona has been in operatoin since about 1656 and has belonged to the Ferron fmaily since 1921.
The Ferron Rice farm is a clear example of a family artisanship still bound to tradition. Part of the energy needed to start the machinery derives from a big paddle wheel moved by the water of a canal called "Fossa Zenobia".
The absence of pre-treatments and the artisan production methods make the Ferron rices particularly delicate.
