Flag of Cuba SEA KAYAKING IN CUBA

Related Links » | Cost/Included Features | Itinerary |

Canadian Woman Traveller is delighted to be working with CubaTrek a Canadian/Cuban venture. Together we have created a holiday that offers beautiful scenery, and great outdoor exercise along with a very rewarding cultural experience.

You will kayak some of Cuba's most beautiful and remote rivers, visit magnificent beaches and snorkel in its breathtaking coral reefs. While kayaking you will see spectacular waterfalls and marvel at the many species of bird and animal life that this country has to offer. Perhaps one of the country's greatest attractions is its people and we have planned it so you will be able to meet and enjoy the Cuban people and experience their food, culture, and hospitality.

Our guided Kayaking will be low impact on flat water in beautiful rivers and crystal clear ocean bays. We will travel from location to location by 4-wheel drive Suzuki jeeps.

On the 7 night program we will use hotels for 4 nights and camps 3 nights. When camping 2 of the 3 nights will be at established camps with toilet and shower facilities and one night will be bush style. The tents used are Eureka Moonriver 3 (for 2 person use) purchased in Canada and shipped to Cuba, along with Woods ground sheets/mattresses (nylon with 2inch foam and air combination)

The entire trip will be handled by two experienced guides. Each guide will drive a Suzuki Vitara jeep towing the kayaks, the jeeps can accommodate two to three passengers. Any additional jeeps can be driven by our tour participants. The guides carry VHF radios.

Usual distances driven will be about one hour in length, with exception of Guajimico to Varadero which is two hours.
